"The Hollywood Machine" is the code word for an experimental scientific and sociological project in which two samples, a man and a woman, were genetically enhance through the technological advances of the 21st century. The samples were involuntary.
The male sample was code named "Gold"
The female sample was code named "Silver"
The leaders of "The Hollywood Machine" project were wealthy businessmen with no regard for ethics or morals and were not without a sense of humor. Unfortunately, the fine details of the project are unknown and the whereabouts of "Silver" have yet to be uncovered. But luckily, "Gold" has stepped forward into the spot light, attempting to tell his story in the best way he can: by becoming the world's biggest pop star.
"Gold" goes by his birth-given name: Ricky.
In his tell all book, he reveals that he was once a performer that played in the local club scene. During a supposed "accident" on stage (now assumed by Ricky to have been caused by participants in the Hollywood Machine project), Ricky was left horribly disfigured, brain damaged, and would never be able to use his arms and legs again. While the doctors were trying to save his life, he flat-lined and was pronounced dead. Before his body could be taken by the coroners, the peons of the Hollywood Machine came and took it for the project.
The scientists of the project replaced his limbs with robotic ones made of solid gold and titanium. They replaced the damage parts of his brain with technology. They crafted his flesh back into a beautiful and perfect form and finally replaced his failed heart with a replacement, also made of solid gold.
When the time came, they reactivated Ricky's body and jump started his brain. Suddenly, he was alive again. A rush of memories came flooding back to him. Then, they came into his mind. They tried to control him, but before he could figure out what they meant for him to do, he forced himself to override their commands. Even today, he can feel them inside him. But his brain is too powerful to control. But he knows they influence him. For some reason, they agree with his decision to seek a life of fame and glory.
His brain damage, however, has left him with a terrible case of split-personalities. His two sides, Ricky Fierce and Just Ricky, are constantly at war.
Ricky Fierce is a pure narcissist who only desires the glamorous.
Just Ricky is a tragic character that desires love rather than material things. But his cold gold heart prevents him from ever truly finding love and Ricky Fierce thinks this is very funny.
This is meant to be an homage to pop culture and classic comic books and I consider it to be the legend of my life
